All eyes on the royal union!

When Prince William and Kate Middleton became man and wife, the whole of Britain joined in the celebration. However, the wedding cheer was not just restricted to the island nation only. The royal wedding did inspire millions spread across the world.

In Afghanistan, British soldiers watch the live broadcast of the Royal wedding at Camp Bastion in Helmand province on April 29.

In Chofu, Western Tokyo, at a gymnasium converted into an evacuation centre, inside Ajinomoto stadium, an evacuee of the earthquake and the tsunami by the name of Hajime Ajima was seen watching a TV broadcast of the royal wedding.

In Dubai, Britons, on holiday, watch in rapt attention, the live broadcast of the royal wedding while sunbathing on the beach.

On Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California, people attend a live broadcast feed of the royal wedding.

In a cafe in Baghdad, Iraqi men watch the London wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on television.
